have

outgrown.

These sales are a

great place to move

out loads

of stuff you

and your family no

longer

needs.

I sold 6 rubbermaids full of clothes and

toys at my first sale

and shared

me of

the

proceeds with my 4 year old and 7 year old. After that I had no

problem,

when I said that we

needed

to go through

their toys and

clothes to sell and donate

(a lot of the sales arrange for

your

unsold

items to be donated to charity if you wish).

Some Sorting Tips to get ready for a Moms Sale

Round #1 Sort

go through your clothes and kids clothes and sort into categories a)

good

repair, no

stains, fits you or

your child's current size = stays in the closet; b)

disrepair

or stains

= pitch immediately; c)

wrong size/too big/too small = get

out of

closet. N

ow, that

should make

some immediate b

reathing space.

Round #2 Sort:

a) great enough to keep for future kid = put into properly labelled

rubbermaid container and

take to

basement; b) good shape but don't love or won't

work for

younger/future kid = put in rubbermaid

labelled MOMS SALE; c)

okay shape,

not stained or

broken, resale value of only 50 cents to $1.00 = put in big

black garbage

bag to donate.

Round #3 Sort:

tackle the kids toys with their help

! - this will take the most time and

should

only be done in

small

increments will well-rested and well fed children. a) if it is

broken = pitch

it; b) if they cannot tell you the

name of the toy = it

goes into either the

sell

or donate box; c)

ask your kids when was the last time they played

with that toy and

if they

can't

remember, put

these toys in a special box that you can re-visit in another

couple

weeks to see if they had

a chance to re-

acquaint themselves with those toys

and actual

play with them.

Please be

patient and gentle with these little ones. This

should not result in

tears and tantrums and

should be

a learning lesson. We had our

best success after

watching a 5 minute

dvd about

children all over the world

that do not

have any toys (see

link information below under "S" to

the Samaritan.Org)
