Their Moms2Moms Sales and Craft Shows are very well organized and lots of fun ! This is the sale to be at - they have a line around the corner waiting to come in because there is such great stuff waiting for them.
MAY May 8-10, 2008 Great Lakes Mega Scrap Meet - Novi, Michigan 248.583.7133 - www.megameet.com Sign up in advance and get a bag, t-shirt, and goodies. Workshops, Make and Takes, Classes, Demonstrations, over 60 vendors. The Rock Financial Showplace will be transformed into the area’s largest scrapbook store for this convention weekend - new products will be introduced at the Convention, see products you may only have seen in magazines, see and participate in live demonstrations of products, look for "show specials" for great deals on the products you love, "Make It - Take It" projects at many booths. Thursday and Friday there is a Mega Crop from 6: 30pm to Midnight. I have gone to this and it is tons of fun! Grab a girlfriend and scrapbook for hours with prizes, games, and refreshments.

A weekend of enrichment in a family friendly atmosphere. Our speakers are experts in the fields of lactation, healthcare, parenting, childbirth, and child development. We hope the conference will be fun for people of all ages with our family-friendly activities and our new children's activity room - a place for kids and dads and caregivers to have fun throughout the day while Mom's in class. Our whole family went last year and Dads and Caregivers are free with Moms registration. Kids are welcome and encouraged. I have never been to a conference with more dads and kids having a great time!
JUNE June 13-15, 2008 Royal Oak Clay & Glass Art Fair - Royal Oak, Michigan 248.547.4000 - www.royaloakchamber.com The 13th Annual Clay and Glass Festival combined with A Taste of Royal Oak. A festival with beautiful artwork done by local renowned artists like Marcia Hovland (www.marciahovland.com) and Gretchen Kramp (gretchenkramp) who do beautiful and unique tile work. There is also food from the local restaurants of Royal Oak. A great way to see many of the quality art and artists of the famous Ann Arbor Art Fair without driving to Ann Arbor. It's also a great time to check out all of the many unique and charming local merchants of Royal Oak like Bravo Intimates Lingerie, Ewe-nique Knits, and Hullabaloo Maternity and Children's Wear.
JULY July 5-12, 2008 Michigan Cherry Festival - Traverse City, Michigan 800.968.3380 - www.cherryfestival.org 81st Annual Festival. The first festival was held in 1926 and this 7 day event attracts more than 500,000. There are over 150 activities with 85 percent of them being free. Cherry Pie Eating Contest, Cherry Pit spitting contest (Mack's best friend Roman won first place for the 7-10 year olds in 2006), Parades, Fireworks, Car Shows, Craft Show on Sunday July 8th only, Military Air Show, Delicious Cherry Desserts of every kind imaginable, Cherry body products - soaps, lotions, if it can be made with cherries it's at this festival. We took our two kids and their two best friends last year and stayed at Great Wolf Lodge just minutes from downtown and had a fun- filled, action packed, exhausting weekend. Visitors have enjoyed Plymouth Art in the Park since its inaugural event in 1980. Plymouth, Michigan is a dream come true...a small town with respect for yesteryear's values and history, located just 30 minutes west of downtown Detroit and 20 minutes east of Ann Arbor - Home of the University of Michigan. Exuberant Downtown Plymouth is a wealth of privately-owned shops and galleries. Tree-lined Kellogg park, in the center of town, with its sparkling new fountain hosts concerts and festivals year-round as well as weekend horse drawn carriage rides. Plymouth enjoys its very own: Symphony, Theatre Players, Historic Old Village, Library, Historical Museum, and Farmer's Market. I grew up in Plymouth Michigan and this is a great local family festival with free kid's activities and kid vendors all around and inside Kellogg Park.

It provides many area groups and organizations the opportunity to raise much needed dollars and a way in which to promote themselves. It allows businesses to market themselves in creative ways and to enjoy increased business during the festival. The festival also promotes the Huron Valley community by showing thousands of festival visitors that the Huron Valley community is a great place to work and live. There is a Canoe Race, Euchre, Civil War Encampment, 5K Run, Hot Pepper Eating Contest, and Crafts & Activities for Kids all throughout the festival days.

With the help of 20 non-profit organizations and over 400 volunteers, the 42nd Art & Apples Festival will include a variety of food, live entertainment, and free children’s art activities. The festival is held annually on the weekend following Labor Day in Rochester’s 30- acre Municipal Park. The Art & Apples Festival is the principal fundraiser for Paint Creek Center for the Arts (PCCA).
